• 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup water (roughly)
  • 1/2 teaspoon seaSalt
  • 1 long & slender carrot
  1. Mix flour and salt, and add water.
  2. Stir with chopsticks until it forms a ball. Add drops of water if needed.
  3. Knead (beat & fold) it with your hands (like kneading bread batter) several times.
  4. Divide the batter in half.
  5. Cut carrot in half.
  6. Wrap the carrot halves, pinch the seam, roll to even the batter.
  7. Make indentations with a chopstick. (please see the vine*)
  8. Steam them for 10 minutes.
  9. Slice them to use in Oden (or other stews).
  10. Enjoy!
