It has been a wonderfully fragrant couple of weeks in our tiny condo. My 9-year-old seed-grown lemon tree had 15 plump flowers in the kitchen. The fragrance was stronger at night, & my olfactory was in a tropical heaven in the dead of winter in New England.

Sadly, they all fell. But they still smelled so wonderful, I gathered them, dried them, & placed them in a small glass vial. Maybe I can keep the perfume intact for a while longer.

Perhaps she’s not ready to bear fruits yet. After all she’s only 9 years old (10 this summer). Yuzu, a citrus in Japan takes some 18 years it starts producing fruits! I’m optimistic. My lemon tree will fruit some day.
